Commander Shepard Boulevard Soundwall

Commander Shepard Sound Barrier Wall is a 51,000 square foot, design-build sound barrier wall located in Hampton, Virginia. The precast panels averaged 10 feet in height and included a grey, stone relief pattern with a smooth concrete cap at the top of the panel. The panels were set between precast concrete columns which also included the concrete cap at the top to match the panels. The foundation design consisted of shallow spread footings with an anchor bolt connection. Century's project scope included all geotechnical, civil and structural design coordination as well as installation of footings, columns and panels.
