East Beach Marina Apartments

East Beach Marina Apartments provided Norfolk's community with 137 new living spaces, a clubhouse and parking garage. The building is 5 stories and over 160,000 square feet, located directly on the Chesapeake Bay waterfront. The proximity to the water and related soil conditions required deep foundations that were integral with the slabs on grade. Century worked closely with the general contracting company to phase the project according to the tight access road around the site, as space was limited by the proximity of the building to the water. This required coordination and altering slab pour sizes in order to release follow-on trades and complete the building in accordance with the overall project schedule.
